Eastgate
The Schloss-Straße, Berlin’s second biggest shopping street, is located here, too. Large department stores have branches here.In addition to chain stores, there are many smaller boutiques and various shops. In spring 2006, another large mall opened, called “Das Schloss”, right next to the S-Bahn station. The exterior was designed in consistence with the neighboring 19th-century town hall. On the inside, customers will find 90 stores on four levels. In Berlin’s western end, in Spandau, the “Spandau Arcaden” and Berlin’s largest pedestrian zone attract shoppers. You can take a nice stroll through the old part of town here, combining your shopping trip with a sight-seeing tour.
