Everyone contributes, everyone reflects, everyone grows – this is the vision of the Strothoff International School (SIS) in Dreieich near Frankfurt, which was founded in 2009. The private all-day school supports the individual strengths of each student so that they can grow into responsible members of the community.

SIS is the only school in the region to offer the complete International Baccalaureate program. The recognized IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate) gives students access to universities worldwide.

SIS prepares children and young people aged 3 to 19 for the core skills of the 21st century in a multilingual, family-oriented, motivating and action-oriented learning environment. It operates with a holistic approach where students apply what they learn through classroom content, projects and community engagement.

Frankfurt’s international schools

Frankfurt is a diverse, international city. More than a quarter of all residents of the Main metropolis are from outside Germany and about 20 percent of the companies based here are foreign companies.

The result is a great demand for internationally oriented schools with native or bilingual lessons. A range of city-run primary and secondary schools with bilingual sections as well as many international private schools meet this need in Frankfurt and the surrounding area.

Childcare in Frankfurt

A crucial precondition to balance family and career in all of Germany is good and needs-based childcare availability – so in Frankfurt, a family-friendly city, this is also naturally an important issue.

Childcare services

Frankfurt already has a wide range of childcare facilities with more than 1,100 day-care centers and after-school care centers. These are run both by the city and by independent institutions and offer space for over 50,000 children of different ages. The portal www.kindernetfrankfurt.de gives parents an overview. It enables precise searches and online preregistration for all municipal childcare services.
